LSTrades Copy

Install the Copy EA

Ten steps, once per MT5 account. No experience with EAs needed.

Before you start, have ready

  • A Windows computer, a Mac or a VPS that stays on while the EA copies.
  • A hedging MT5 account with at least $200 in it.
  • Your licence key. It is on the member portal, in the My copier card.
  • Use one licence per MT5 account. Two licences copying into the same account would take every trade twice.
  1. Step 1: Install MT5 on a computer

Download MetaTrader 5 for desktop from your broker's website and install it. The EA needs the desktop app: MT5 on a phone cannot run an EA. Any MT5 broker with gold and NAS100 works. If your broker names gold or NAS100 differently, the panel shows a line with the fix [H7] help: set GoldSymbol or Nas100Symbol. Our bot trades on Exness prices, so an Exness account follows its entries most closely. The EA can skip a NAS100 entry when your broker's price is too far from our bot's fill [H11] help.

  2. Step 2: Log in to your trading account

In MT5 open File, then Login to Trade Account, and enter the account number, password and server your broker gave you. Use a hedging account: on a netting account the EA stops and says so.

  3. Step 3: Download the EA

Download LSTrades_Copy.ex5 with the button below and save it where you can find it, for example your Downloads folder.

  4. Step 4: Put the EA in the Experts folder

In MT5 open File, then Open Data Folder. In the folder that opens, go into MQL5, then Experts, and paste LSTrades_Copy.ex5 there.

  5. Step 5: Refresh the Navigator

Back in MT5, open the Navigator (Ctrl+N), right-click Expert Advisors and choose Refresh. LSTrades_Copy now shows in the list.

  6. Step 6: Allow the copy server

Open Tools, then Options, then the Expert Advisors tab. Tick Allow algorithmic trading and Allow WebRequest for listed URL. Add the address below exactly as written, then press OK. Without that address the EA cannot fetch trades.

    https://ls-trades-tv-discord-relay.lstrades-tv-discord-relay.workers.dev

  7. Step 7: Switch on Algo Trading

Check the Algo Trading button in the MT5 toolbar is on. If it is off, click it once.

  8. Step 8: Drag the EA onto one chart

Open any one chart; which symbol does not matter. Drag LSTrades_Copy from the Navigator onto it. Use one chart only: the EA copies gold and NAS100 from that one chart. A second chart with the EA on the same account will not start.

  9. Step 9: Paste your key and set your risk

In the window that opens, tick Allow Algo Trading on the Common tab. On the Inputs tab, double-click the value on the line starting LicenceKey and paste your licence key (it is on the member portal, in the My copier card). On the line starting RiskPercent, set your risk: it starts at 0.5, the same risk our bot uses, and takes 0.1 to 3.0. The line starting MaxRiskPerTradePct (15 by default) caps what one trade may risk when the EA falls back to the minimum lot. Leave the other lines as they are and press OK.

Open the member portal for your key
  10. Step 10: Check the panel says Connected

The panel on the chart should read: Connected, copying Gold + NAS100, risk 0.5%. If a line ends in a code like [H1], look that code up on the help page.

Is it working?

  • The panel on the chart reads Connected, copying Gold + NAS100, risk 0.5%. Your markets and risk can differ.
  • On the member portal, the My copier card says Last connected: Just now, and Connected and copying.
  • In the MT5 Toolbox (Ctrl+T), the Experts tab shows messages from LSTrades_Copy and no errors.
  • When the next trade comes, a position opens with a comment that starts with LSC: and a number. No trades for a while is normal: the bot only trades when its setups appear.
  • Just restarted MT5? The EA waits for your account to connect, then carries on by itself.

A line ending in a code like [H3]? Find the fix on the help page.

What your balance means

  • The minimum balance is $200.
  • Below about $6,000, the EA trades your broker's minimum lot on gold, because 0.5% of your balance comes out below 0.01 lot.
  • On a $200 account, one gold trade can risk $10 to $30.
  • The TP1 half can't split at 0.01 lot, so the whole position runs to the final exit with its stop at breakeven.
  • About $12,000 copies the TP1 half exactly.
  • If even the minimum lot would risk more than MaxRiskPerTradePct of your balance, the EA skips that trade and says so on the chart [H8] help.

No computer that stays on? Use a VPS

The EA only copies while MT5 is open and online. If your computer sleeps or shuts down, copying stops. MT5 on a phone cannot run an EA.

Option 1 is MetaTrader virtual hosting, rented inside MT5: in the Navigator, right-click your trading account and choose Register a Virtual Server. Finish steps 1 to 10 on your computer first, including the copy server address in step 6. MetaTrader's guide (opens in a new tab) says a program that uses WebRequest needs that permission and its trusted address set on the Expert Advisors tab before it moves. Then migrate.

Every migration copies the charts, EAs and settings from your computer to the hosting, replacing what was there, and turns Algo Trading off on your computer. After migrating, close MT5 on your computer and leave the EA on its chart. Do not remove it: the next migration would remove it from the hosting too. Only one copy of a key runs at a time; the other waits [H5] help.

To change an input on the hosting, such as RiskPercent: open MT5 on your computer, change the input there, migrate again, then close MT5.

Virtual hosting has no chart to look at, so check your copier on the member portal: the My copier card shows when it last connected and its status.

Accounts that log in with a one-time password cannot use MetaTrader virtual hosting.

Option 2 is any Windows VPS: connect to it with Remote Desktop, install MT5 there, and follow steps 1 to 10.

Using a Mac

MT5 for Mac runs Expert Advisors, and the steps are the same: File, Open Data Folder, Tools, Options. Some menus may sit in slightly different places.

Your Mac has to stay awake and online while the EA copies. If it sleeps, use a VPS (above).

Message support (opens in a new tab) with a screenshot if a step looks different on your Mac.

Moving to a new computer or VPS

Same MT5 account on a new machine: nothing to reset. Remove the EA from the chart on the old machine first (or close MT5 there), then set it up on the new one with the same key. It takes over within half a minute.

Moving onto MetaTrader virtual hosting is different: follow the VPS section above and keep the EA on its chart on your computer.

A different MT5 account: each key works on one MT5 account. Message support (opens in a new tab) with your Whop email and the new account number. Once the key is moved, attach the EA on the new account.

Changing your risk

Open the EA settings: double-click the EA name in the top right corner of the chart, or press F7 on that chart.

On the Inputs tab, change the line starting RiskPercent (0.1 to 3.0) and press OK. The new risk applies from the next trade. Trades already open keep their size.

On MetaTrader virtual hosting, change it in MT5 on your computer instead, migrate again, then close MT5 there.

To copy one market only, set the line starting CopyGold or CopyNas100 to false.

The line starting MaxRiskPerTradePct caps what one trade may risk when the EA falls back to your broker's minimum lot. Read What your balance means before you change it.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from your Whop dashboard.

When your membership ends, the EA keeps managing the trades it already copied for 48 hours and opens no new ones. After that it stops. The VIP access that came with LSTrades Copy closes too.

Remove the EA from the chart when you are done. On MetaTrader virtual hosting, remove it in MT5 on your computer, then migrate again. Any trades still open stay in your account and are yours to manage.

Your MT5 has to stay open and online while the EA copies, on your own computer or a VPS.

Stuck on a step? Message support (opens in a new tab) with a screenshot, or look your panel code up on the help page.

Copied trades can lose, and you can lose money. Nothing here is financial advice.
